Open Days

For our Open Days in April and September we borrow the current scout hut building next door, so we're able to put up most if not all of our society layouts, including those under construction.  Club layouts include 2mm layout Camford Junction, 4mm layout Lulworth, 4mm layout Beggarwood Lane, The Royal Albert Bridge (ex Great Model Railway Challenge) in N Gauge plus an O gauge in the early stages of construction. We also have on display some of our members layouts to show what some of us have been working on and exhibit.

These are the days when we open our doors for an informal session open to the public. This is your opportunity to come and see what we do, ask seasoned modellers how we do things, or simply pop in for a chat about railway modelling in general.

We currently have layouts being constructed in 2mm, N, OO and O. Our members range from those who've just begun to railway modellers with over 40 years experience.

Where We Are

The Old Scout Hut, Stratton Park off Pack Lane, Basingstoke, RG22 5HN.
On entering Stratton Park, turn right at the T-junction and the old scout hut is the wooden building in the far corner of the car park, next to the current (brick built) scout hut.
