MHR Layout in a PMV  OO Gauge

​MHR PMV layout was a build completed by the Basingstoke model railway club for the Mid Hants Railway. the layout is built within a PMV on the watercress line and demonstrates single line workings.

The layout itself was a challenge as it was made to operate as if your are a signal man at one of the stations on the line in this case Ropley Manor. You would have to follow the correct procedures in order to navigate trains to and from Medstead wood to your own station at Ropley Manor. 

Tasks you would have to carry out in order to receive or send a train are the following 

• Correct bell codes - receive and send
•  Setting of points to receive the train in the correct platform
  
•  Handing over the single line token 
  
•  Setting of signals

The Layout tends to make appearances at the railways Gala events as well as days out with Thomas and can usually be found on these events in Alresford Cattledock
