Free Heritage Bus Service
A service operated by the Aldershot and District Rescue and Restoration Society will operate from the West Ham Leisure Park (where there is ample free parking) and Basingstoke Railway Station. Please click here for the timetable and details of the stopping places.
50th Anniversary Wagon
To commemorate the society’s 50th anniversary we commissioned limited edition "Daneshill Brick & Tile Co." 5-plank wagons from The Wagon Yard in both 00 and N gauges, 50 of each of 3 running numbers. Each wagon comes with an individual certificate of authenticity and any remaining stock will be available on the Society Stand.
Traffic News
Major road works are taking place at the Brighton Hill Roundabout so if you are approaching that roundabout from the North East (town centre) along Winchester Road, you will not be able to gain access to Western Way. The AA direction signs will indicate the alternative route from the Winchester Road Roundabout on the Ringway. The route will take you North along Ringway West, up the slip road to turn left onto Worting Road, over a mini-roundabout and left into Western Way. Alternatively, you could head to West Ham Leisure Park and catch the free Heritage Bus service - see above. Traffic from the South West (M3 Junction 7) will still be able to gain access to Western Way on the way in but will probably have to follow a diversion via the Winchester Road Roundabout on the way out.
